The Bovingdon
Players' Autumn 2007 production was King Lear.
Considered one
of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies and one of the greatest plays in
world drama, this promised to be a fantastic experience for cast and
audience alike.
Planning and
preparations for this ambitious production began almost a year
ahead, including some radical stage design,
original music and expert fight choreography, not to mention a large
cast with challenging lines to learn and a Director with very
particular ideas about what he wants! No-one cme to blows,
except where Will intended anyway, and it shapED up into a very impressive
show.
Performances
were in the Bovingdon Memorial Hall from 7.30 p.m. on Thursday 22
November, Friday 23 November and Saturday 24 November.
Tickets (£8 or
£6 concessions) were available from the box office. Customers were
offered to check out a
seating plan before they booked
